In my last post, we explored the conversational UI (CUI) track from Interaction 17. Along the way, it became apparent that the voice user interfaces (VUI) hailed as “conversational” today are actually just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Most of today’s experiences focus on command-and-control scenarios or very simple question-and-answer exchanges: Alexa, what’s the weather in Seattle on Sunday? Hey Cortana, open Netflix. OK
